A 97-year-old lifelong RSS swayamsevak and grassroots political worker, Makhanlal Sarkar, received a lifetime honour from Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a recent oath-taking ceremony. Sarkar, an aide to Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee, expressed fulfillment after Modi touched his feet.
